LOS ANGELES (May 21, 200– Square Enix, Inc., the publisher of Square Enix™ interactive entertainment products in North America, announced today that INFINITE UNDISCOVERY™ for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft will ship September 2, 2008. The first in a completely new lineup of Square Enix titles for Xbox 360, this fantasy RPG (role-playing game) is a collaborative project with fan favorite development studio tri-Ace Inc. (STAR OCEAN® and VALKYRIE PROFILE®). “With the simultaneous release of INFINITE UNDISCOVERY, Square Enix is entering an exciting new period of delivering great gaming experiences to our fans all around the world at the same time, creating new global communities,” said John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix, Inc. and Square Enix, Ltd. “This is something that we have aimed to do for a long time and we look to continue to deliver worldwide gaming experiences across all platforms well into the future.” INFINITE UNDISCOVERY envelops players in an engaging real-time world where every decision you make leads to a myriad of discoveries and affects every encounter. The developers that set a new standard for RPGs by fusing exploration with battle in the STAR OCEAN series establish a new benchmark for the genre, perfectly integrating traditional tri-Ace elements with the technological power of Xbox 360. The experience is enhanced with a soundtrack by composer Motoi Sakuraba from the STAR OCEAN and VALKYRIE PROFILE series.
GAMEPLAY : DISCOVERY & IMPACT. Every discovery and action that players make has an instant impact on the world, creating an unpredictable gaming experience.Situational Battles As players are faced with a variety of episodic situational battles, they will discover that they may have to try various methods to defeat the enemy, where the most obvious solution is rarely the right move. Players can assemble parties from a pool of 18 characters, choosing those with the best combination of abilities for the job. Snipe distant enemies with the help of a bow-wielding ally or skilled magic user. Based on each player’s decisions, the intricate environments will offer a variety of experiences, presented in a way never before seen in RPGs. A Seamless World and Real-time Action Players are drawn deeper into the world as each act becomes more crucial to survival. To make careful decisions and advance, players will need to rely not only on sight and sound, but also scent. Combat, exploration and other actions will all take place within the same environment, seamlessly shifting between each game facet.
STORY
Known as the throne of the gods, the moon rested peacefully in the heavens.
Man enjoyed great prosperity by harnessing the power of the celestial body.
Until one day... A sinister force ensnared the moon with chains and fastened them to the surface, bleeding the life from the planet. The enchained lands were transformed into withering wastelands, and their once carefree inhabitants now lived in fear. Behind the world's plight were the Dreadknight and his menacing horde, the Order of Chains. Deep in a forest, in one of the Order's prisons, a young boy named Capell was being held captive. His captors called him the "Liberator," though he had no clue as to what they meant. On the third day of his imprisonment, he was rescued by a spirited young woman named Aya. She was a member of a small band of brave warriors who had gathered under the banner of Sigmund the Liberator to free the world from the iron grip of the Order. Upon meeting Sigmund, he was surprised to find a man who shared his very face and appearance. This meeting would change Capell's life forever and shake the foundation of the world itself.
INFINITE UNDISCOVERY is not yet rated by the ESRB. Please visit the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) website at http://www.esrb.org for more information about ratings.
INFINITE UNDISCOVERY will be available at North American retailers for the suggested retail price of $59.99(USD). The official website can be found at INFINITE UNDISCOVERY | SQUARE ENIX.

BioShock Movie in the works

WRITER
He's proven himself in the genre film arena time and time again. David Goyer is our pick to adapt BioShock for the screen. His mastery of action-packed flicks with sci-fi/fantasy elements has been proven on movies like Dark City, Blade, and Batman Begins. Goyer has a busy schedule, but we think he might jump at the chance to bring such a cool game to the big screen. If the studio were prepared to shell out the big bucks for this one, and they'd almost have to be, our choice for helmer is none other than Ridley Scott. Scott's filmography speaks for itself with a diverse array of brilliant films -- it's hard to believe that the same guy who did Gladiator directed Thelma and Louise. The clincher here is Scott's status as helmer of Alien and Blade Runner, two of the best sci-fi films ever made. The rumor mill had Scott briefly linked with another game-to-film adaptation, Halo, a while back, but the filmmaker reportedly balked after determining that the game just didn't have enough story potential. Note to Mr. Scott: If it's story you want, BioShock has it in droves!
If Scott weren't available, we'd try our best to lure James Cameron into the director's chair. Underwater dystopian world... it's kind of a no-brainer.
And if the budget won't allow a bigger name helmer, our bargain-priced pick is Kerry Conran, director of Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. Conran has extensive special effects experience and could no doubt realize the film's rotting retro environment with excellence.
PRINCIPLE CAST
The film's central role of Jack is tough to cast since he's essentially a character vacuum filled by the player. However, we'd go to great lengths to have our writer create a strong protagonist. And when it came down to casting the lead role, we'd have our casting director take meetings with a short list actors. Instead of casting some big adrenaline action star like Vin Diesel or Jason Statham, we'd focus on young actors who can play tough when called on to battle it out with the BioShock bad guys, and cerebral when unraveling the mysteries of Rapture.
Matt Damon -- Not the pretty boy version, but the badass post-Bourne Matt Damon.
Heath Ledger -- We think fans will be ready to embrace Ledger in the role once he's established himself as a genre star playing The Joker in The Dark Knight
Christian Bale -- Batman. 'Nuff said. We doubt Bale would take on another high-profile sci-fi/action project while entrenched in the Caped Crusader franchise, but it'd be worth testing the waters.
Jake Gyllenhaal -- Is Gyllenhaal ready to carry a big budget flick like BioShock? We think so.
Clive Owen -- If we're casting slightly older, Clive Owen is our choice. And if you've seen Children of Men or caught a glimpse of the actor in the Shoot 'Em Up trailer then the idea of Owen as Jack will surely have you jazzed.
For the role of Andrew Ryan we've managed to narrow it down to a single pick: Anthony Hopkins. There's no doubt that the award-winning actor has got the chops, and we think it'd be fun to see Hopkins take on another genre role -- especially a villain. Tweak the accent, a simple technique for such an experienced actor, and you've got your man.

Banjo kazooi xbox 360
Banjo Kazooi for the xbox360 was finally leaked. Representing the first media of the game to arrive since its 2006 announcement trailer, the images provide an in-game glimpse of the first Banjo effort to hit a home console since the Nintendo 64 release of Banjo Tooie in 2000. I'm anticipating this game now since I fell in love with the old n64 versions. Let's just hope for a soon release date.Find more screenshots here: http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/52632

New Zelda game in the works
In a private interview with Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aunoma at E3, discussion for Super Mario Galaxy was originally planned. Although, Aunoma couldn’t help himself from revealing more about his new project; Zelda. He explained that the latest Legend of Zelda game for the Wii will be influenced by the ease of control found in games such as the Phantom Hourglass, so an entire new control scheme and setup could be revealed. Miyamoto ordered Aunoma not to reveal too much, so the details are scarce. The key bit of information unveiled was that this new Zelda game would appeal to both hardcore and casual gamers. No information about the story or time line were mentioned, either.Source: http://www.digitalbattle.com/2007/07/14/e3-new-zelda-in-the-works/
